Heroes fans, explain this to me!

April 18th, 2010 (05:21 pm)

I watched "The Wall" and "Brave New World" since I'm kind of planning my heroes_bigboom fic, and a detail caught my attention (how I didn't react to this first time I saw the episode, I don't know):

In "Brave New World", Peter flies at Samuel. Noah and Claire even talked about it (Noah: And all the other stuff-- Claire: The flying, the rumbling--), so it really happened. How is that possible with Peter's current power? After all, since "The Wall" he's had Parkman's ability, and after the flight, he takes Samuel's power.

Sure, he could have hooked up with West again, but... what is the likelihood of that? Did Sylar possibly have an ability to fly that he could have taken?

Of course, I would rather like to think that his original power is finally returning.

And while we're talking about Peter and his powers: why hasn't he ever taken Sylar's one true power? Is it because of the hunger, as we saw on third season? As we also saw there, Sylar was capable of same kind of empathy as Peter, which didn't require him to get all touchy-feely with the brain to know how it works...

Oh well, either way, maybe the creators of the show made a big error on Peter's abilities, or forgot to tell us about another possibility. :P

LOL; yeah, I began to think about Sylar!Nathan as soon as I hit "reply". Sylar had the ability to fly then, no doubt. And maybe it is still lurking in there somewhere.

But when Sylar killed Nathan and slit his throat, he didn't take his power... maybe... who knows what he did to that body while he was alone with it in that room...

So it is interesting how Sylar could fly when he simply thought he was Nathan, when it was actually just his body shifting into another form and a major case of amnesia/identity-crisis at work :P His power sure works in mysterious ways :P

BTW, I also noticed that Peter absorbed Angela's power through the sleeve of her shirt (unless my eyes decieve me)... these re-views are doing me no good at all :P

GAMER what an ass

Yeah XD
After those two episodes, if Peter and Sylar are not making out on the possible next season, then we have to complain to Kring for making it WRONG :P

I don't know what really happened to Sylar in that nightmare land, but... I'll take it, no complains. =)

I'm still trying to figure out why Sylar looked so happy when Claire outed them all - or tried, anyway... I keep thinking maybe he ate all the cotton candy and had a sugar high or something XD

He has mellowed a lot, hasn't he? The only positive thing about that, really, is that he and Peter are getting closer. The change is rather violent, though... and it began before "the Wall" episode, kinda. Ever since his weird talk with Claire. *shakes head*

Peter & Sylar

Yeah, Peter can't quite decided which way to roll...

LOL, well, I just started a fic (for BigBoom) that will take place after BNW, and... I don't know what's going to be in it, all in all, but it seems kinda promising. A lot of possibilities there. Plenty of potential grimness... maybe a lot of Peter/Sylar too XD

Peter & Sylar

haha, thanks ^^ I'll try not to disappoint you...

Yeah, when I was still reading stuff, I noticed there were several ways to write Peter and Sylar... both individually and together. And pretty often it seemed kind of OOC to me, but then, they have had such mental shifts in the show that it isn't so bad, sort of... it's just me it bothers :D
